10th - Newcastle with George, Elsie and Alice. Look round town till 3. Then Whitley Bay with George's girl. Back to Newcastle. Picture House cafe - Hippodrome. Get Alice up home. Great time.
11th - to Reeth. Lovely day. Arrived back in time to meet chapel. Took Alice, Kate to park. Home early.
12th - Tim Healy came on a flying visit - stayed to tea. Harley came down for evening and stayed till after midnight. Some talk and revelations.
13th - unlucky day. Get George to Leeming. Rained hard. Had to leave bike on return journey. Came back with Smith of Royal Ins Co side car. Out again. 14 miles in car. Towed bike to Fawcetts. Home 10pm.
14th - At last. Wednesday evening. Alice rather put out I wasn't at office last night. Explanations etc. Turned into the loveliest evenings. Lovely moon and fine walk up Walworth Lane. Grand sunset.
