5th - met Alice as usual. Both had colds so decided to be in early. Up West Auckland Road till 9 then slow walk home. Grand time after empty weekend.
6th - Alice not working back so she came down home about 7.30. Stayed till 9.30 and I get her to Greenbank.
8th - met Alice at 6.45 and had our usual walk up Walworth. Not to our green house this time as too damp. Great time. In the afternoon to Greta. Tea at Barnard Castle.
9th - chapel in the morning. Mr.Barton preaching. Afternoon met Alice at 3. Down home for some white flowers.
