Saturday night met Poppy and she said she had seen Alice who had told her I was going to Prudhoes - so we met N and Peggy and Alice in Bondgate. Went to the Savoy and had supper toast list - 7 of us in which we each toasted something - in coffee. Then to Prudhoes where we played pontoon til 11.

Sunday night took Alice and Kate for a walk up West Auckland Road - lovely evening, bright moonlight and talked rubbish of course and had them laughing all night. Alice incidentally mentioned she would like her engagement - if any - to last about 5 years - I suggested 3 to which we all agreed.
